TMAE SOCIETY'S COLLEGE OF EDUCATION

Shri Tegginamath Arts & Education Society, Harapanahalli of Davanagere District was founded in 1969 by his holiness Shri. Sha::Bra::Chandramouleshwara Shivacharya Mahaswamiji, a dedicated philosopher and Karmayogi who is fully committed to the cause of education. He has been ably assisted by the governing council and thousands of his followers. He has established several educational, technical and medical institutions throughout the state catering to the needs of down trodden, and backward class learners

......The institute was started in the year 1973-74 vide (State Government) recognition accorded by Govt. of Karnataka, Bangalore. The management appointed teacher educators, to train up the teachers trainees. The salary was borne by the management until the Teacher Education Institute got in to grant in aid. Students from all over Karnataka took interest to join here and get trained. Presently the intake capacity is 100. We have adequate lecturer halls, laboratories, play field, library and teaching staff.

.....College of Education has been started in the year 1973-74 vide Government order No.ED.27.UAC73 Dated 29-09-1973, NCTE No.F.K.R/3/4/SRO/ NCTE/2004-05/Date 05-04-2005. Keeping in consonance with the great national demand for Secondary school teachers.
